Cancer and Asparagus

Did you know that for centuries, Asparagus has been used as a medicinal vegetable?  Going back to 1854 a professor at the University of Pennsylvania, stated that asparagus was used as a popular remedy for kidney stones.  He even referred to experiments, done in 1739, on the power of asparagus in dissolving stones!

An article, entitled “Asparagus for Cancer” was printed in the Cancer News Journal back in December of 1979, which states that asparagus might cure cancer.  There have been many case studies done with patients using asparagus for treating Hodgkin’s disease, cancer of the bladder, lung cancer and skin cancer.

Rumor has it that the Medical Establishment has interfered with researchers obtaining many of the records with these case histories.  Hopefully some of our readers may wish to come forward and talk about their experience in using asparagus as a cancer remedy.

For the treatment, asparagus should be cooked before using, therefore canned asparagus is just as good as fresh.  The two leading canners of asparagus seem to be Giant and Stokely and these brands contain no pesticides or preservatives.

Place the cooked asparagus in a blender and liquefy to make a puree, store in the fridge.  Give the patient 4 full tablespoons twice daily, morning and evening.  You can even dilute with water and used as a cold or hot drink.  Patients usually show some improvement in from 2-4 weeks.

Asparagus contains a good supply of protein called histones, which are believed to be active in controlling cell growth.  Asparagus is a harmless substance so the FDA cannot prevent you from using and it may do you much good.  It has also been reported by the US National Cancer Institute, that asparagus is the highest tested food containing glutathione, which is considered one of the body’s most potent anti-carcinogens and antioxidants.

We, at Herbal Balance, believe there are natural foods and herbs grown on our wonderful planet designed by a higher power for humans to use to combat human illness and disease.  Our product, Eight Herb Essiac, is that same kind of herbal product and all we have done was to make it simple for us now to benefit by simply taking a soft gel instead of mixing herbs and brewing and storing a tea.  Same results but easy and portable!

Thanks,

Jim
